Generally, two factors, genetic and environmental factors can cause orthodontic issues. Genetics plays an important role in dental problems but you can control some environmental issues that cause a dental problem and control the severity of orthodontic issues by preventive orthodontic treatment.
It is strongly recommended children have an orthodontic screening around the age 7. Because the dentist can diagnose if your child needs any orthodontic treatment. Many children can benefit from early orthodontic treatment and it prevents severe orthodontic issues in adolescence. It is very important that they have proper oral hygiene and you should help them to clean their teeth properly by regular brushing and flossing.
