I’m 27 years old. I had orthodontics twice and it recurred again both times. The first time, I had jaw abnormality and also my teeth on both jaws were crooked. I had removable orthodontics for two years and my jaw’s problem was resolved. But my straight teeth again became crooked. Is there a solution for my problem? Do I need to take an OPG x-ray? I appreciate your help.
Dr. Hadi Darvishpour :
In general, there is a 5 to 10 percent chance of recurrence in orthodontic treatments done by any orthodontist. However, it can be prevented to some extent, which requires a visit with your doctor every 4 months, in order to decrease the chance of recurrence to minimum.
